Bulgaria Day 5, Part 1

Wow, today was a full day of ministry. I'll post this report in multiple parts.

In the morning we traveled to Skopje to visit Pastor Alexi and his wife Olga. They are church planters working with our hosts, the Bulgarian Christian Baptist Association. Along with their 4 kids they have lived in this town of 20,000 for the past seven years, after serving in a successful ministry in Ukraine. During those seven years, they have seen ONLY ONE PERSON come to faith in Jesus Christ! It is one of the most difficult fields of ministry that I have ever witnessed. There are no evangelical churches in the town or in any of the 20 villages in the area.

Pastor Alexi and his wife have been discouraged many times over the years, and in several instances they almost gave up and returned to Ukraine. It was a blessing for our team to encourage them, fellowship together, and pray for continued strength in ministry.
