Bulgaria Day 2

Hi to all!

In the photo above Rob is leading a short devotional from 1 Peter 1:3 at the evening prayer meeting. Pastor Alexander is translating (see below).

We had a fantastic day yesterday. A few brief highlights:

- We spent the day in Kostin Brot, at Pastor Alexanders house. The idea was to simply build relationships and get to know each other. Besides Pastor Alexander, his wife Oxana, and their two children there were also several members from their church and 6 young girls from the youth group. almost all of the girls were 13 or 14, which was the perfect age for our team.

Keri (from Rainbow Church) had brought supplies for making jewelry, our girls had everything needed for manicures and pedicures, and Crystal (from Temecula Creek Church) brought her hair cutting supplies (she is a professional stylitst. It was a regular chick-fest.

- The men in the group spent the afternoon at the local soup kitchen. we discovered that Pastor Alexander and his team are there every day, and they are really establishing a wonderful rapport with the people. Pastor Joe Cardemone (from Boston) gave a devotional from John 9.

- We also had the opportunity to attend the "mother" church's weekly 2 hour prayer meeting. Our team was really exhausted, and few of us stayed awake for the entire time, but it was wonderful to fellowship with them and witness their devotion to prayer.

Thats probably enough for now, and I need to order breakfast. We leave soon to go to an orphanage and minister to the children. Thanks for your continued prayers, the team is well and everyone is sleeping better. Our hotel is excellent and we are all very comfortable. Thanks for partnering with us, it is such an encouragement to read your comments.
