More on Ecuador from Guest Bloggers

This is a supplement to my first post on the Ecuador trip, scroll down to see that original entry and a picture of the team.

I asked Team Leaders Richard and Marilyn Fretz if they would share some specific details, photos, and prayer requests for the upcoming trip. This is their reply:

This is a photo of team leaders Richard and Marilyn Fretz and our Ecuadorian host and partner Diego Trujillo. Actually, I am not 100% positive that the guy on the right is Richard... it kind of looks like that Crocodile Hunter guy...

Along with a local Christian Marilyn is sharing the evangecube with some young ladies in an area where the host church plans to start a new work.

Trip Schedule:

We land in Quito, the capital, on Friday afternoon June 26 and take a bus ride over the Andes to Tena on Saturday morning. We’ll go into the mission points Saturday afternoon to meet the local believers, asking how we might seek God on their behalf all the while asking God to reveal the Lord Jesus through His word.

After fellowshipping with our the host churches on Sunday morning we’ll head out to our mission points to present the Good News. Those who make a profession of faith will begin discipleship with our local Ecuadorian Christian partners and will be invited to meet with local Christian in the evenings. We’ll continue this work through Wednesday evening.

In addition, we are praying for the opportunity to have one team go into a remote Indian village throughout the week and then the entire team to join with them for a humanitarian effort on Thursday. We will travel back to Quito on Friday and fly home Saturday July 4.

Pray:

That God will be glorified in all that is said and done. (Col 1:16, Rom 11:36)

That the team will be unified. (John 17:23)

That each member will be humble. (Psalm 25:9)

That each member will be conscious of their dependence on the Lord Jesus. (John 15:5)

That many will be drawn to the Savior! (John 4:34-38)

For the families of our team who are carrying on life in their absence.

Thanks for partnering with us through your prayers and support!
