Once there I will be joined by a couple of friends, Jeff Ward and Awor Worthingso from Siliguri, India. The three of us will be conducting leadership training for the students of the Logos Institute for Leadership Development, the Nepali-language training school established by Deepak Bardewa.
We have been partnering with Deepak and his ministry among the ethnic Nepali of Manipur since 1999, and it has been wonderful to see the success of his training program and the graduation of several classes of pastors and church leaders. In the photo below, Deepak addresses the students at the graduation ceremony in 2007.

Will you join me in this trip through your prayers? Our desire is to bless and encourage our partners, and to strengthen them in their ministry. We also hope to open doors for the preaching of the gospel in an often hostile society by caring for the physical needs of the people. Lastly, pray that God would work through me as I lead a diverse team... travel to and ministry in Manipur presents unique challenges and I need His wisdom and patience to lead well.
Thanks! I'll add additional posts as the trip draws near. One final bonus: the photo below is one of my favorites from Manipur... it never fails to bring a smile to my face. This sign is posted on a gate, in lieu of the standard "Beware of Dog". Enjoy!
