In this video clip Michael Horton promotes his new book, "Christless Christianity".
What do you think about his assertions? Is he a just being a "contrarian", or are his points valid? Are we as a Church moving towards doctrinal fuzziness, as he claims many are, or are we faithfully holding to the faith "once for all delivered to the saints"(Jude 1:3)?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"To as many as received Him He gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them who believe on His name."
Power in our lives comes from the Holy Spirit. He mentioned "What would Jesus do?" from the classic book "In His Steps." When I was in Junior High this book had a profound impact on my life.
As I grew in the knowledge of the Lord, I came to realize that the ability to live for Him came from "Christ in you the hope of glory," The indwelling Spirit of Christ.
I am thankful for the faithful teachers along the way who introduced me to Him and the reality that He had a plan for my life. So receiving Him and following Him are not mutually exclusive. They walk hand in hand and result in a joyful fulfilling life, in spite of circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. This was created with the intention of sharing personal thoughts, studies, news, and information with the members of my Church, Temecula Hills Christian Fellowship.
I should add a bit of a disclaimer... the opinions shared in this Blog are my own and don't necessarily represent the other elders and leaders at THCF.
Regardless, my goal is that God will be glorified, and you will be encouraged, by all that is posted and discussed on this page.
