1. Our Ecuador team leaves this evening! On the team prayer calendar we are asked to pray for focus and vision and that God would be glorified, with Ephesians 1:15-20 as the scripture passage for the day. One verse from that passage seems especially appropriate... Paul says to the believers in Ephesus:
"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe." (Eph 1:18-19a)
Lets join together toward that end, that this team might leave the States with full confidence in the "greatness of His power".
2. There are many other THCF'rs who are overseas now or preparing to leave soon! Jacquie Goalwin is in Thailand, Courtney Dixon is in Uganda, a team leaves for Asia next week, and another group is preparing to go to Haiti in July. What a blessing it is to see so many participating in God's work around the world.
3. Missions Week '09 is coming! This will include Sunday morning reports from the Ecuador team, a service focused on our long-term missionaries, a missions movie night and more. Watch for information in the bulletin this Sunday.
